In order to help Daniel, we have created a support network (Family and Friends of Daniel McGowan) to help fund Daniel’s legal representation and to raise awareness about his case.

We're in the process of planning a number of events in various locations. If you are interested in planning an event or have any ideas on what else we could do, please email friendsofdanielmcg@yahoo.com. Also, feel free to send us any pictures from past events.

December 7, 2011: From the Red Scare to the Green Scare
The Center for Constitutional Rights is sponsoring an event in New York City on the evening of December 7th, focusing on the links between the Red Scare of the 1950's that branded many progressives as Communists, and the present Green Scare, that treats environmental activists as terrorists.  Participants will include Robert Meeropol (Exec. Dir. of the Rosenberg Fund for Children), Will Potter (author of "Green is the New Red," and also a member of the RFC's Advisory Board), and Jenny Synan (activist, and wife of Green Scare target, Daniel McGowan). CCR Attorney Rachel Meeropol (daughter of Robert) will provide the introduction.
